I have to say that I LOVE Pierre Bonnard. I saw his work almost 20 years ago and the new exhibition ‘Pierre Bonnard: The Colour of Memory’ at the Tate Modern brought me the joy I felt the first time I saw his work.

The colours, the atmosphere… he was one of the greatest colourists of his time. The colours don’t quite translate when printed in books, so it feels even more important to see his work ‘in the flesh’ so to speak.

Along with Edward Hopper, and David Hockney, this has to be one of my all time favourite artists. He is a must see for anyone who loves colour.
